Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Launches Four Welfare Schemes Across 563 Villages on Republic Day

Introduction:

On January 26, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy made history by launching four transformative welfare schemes simultaneously across 563 villages spanning all mandals of the state. The move marks a significant milestone in state-level governance and inclusive welfare delivery.


1. Rythu Bharosa Scheme

  • Provides ₹6,000 per acre as investment assistance for rabi season.
  • Aims to support farmers with timely financial aid.
  • 4.41 lakh farmers covering 9.48 lakh acres received a total of ₹569 crore.

2. Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme

  • Targets landless agricultural labour families.
  • Offers ₹12,000 annual assistance (₹6,000 as first installment).
  • Designed to uplift vulnerable agricultural workers without land.
  • 20,336 labourers across 561 villages received ₹10.91 crore.

3. Indiramma Indlu Housing Scheme

  • Financial aid of ₹5 lakh per family to construct homes.
  • Aims to build 4.5 lakh houses during 2024–2025.
  • Focuses on addressing homelessness among low-income families.

4. New Ration Cards for Food Security

  • Issued 15,414 new ration cards, covering 51,912 beneficiaries.
  • 1.03 lakh new members added through updates.
  • Strengthens access to essential food supplies for underserved households.

Judicial Oversight and Inclusivity

The Telangana High Court directed the government to ensure inclusion of urban landless workers under the Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme. The move reinforces equitable welfare distribution.


Addressing Construction Challenges

  • A committee has been formed to explore affordable sand supply under the housing scheme.
  • Aims to counter rising construction costs and ensure access to essential materials.
