In the spirit of inclusion and aspiration, the Government of India launched the PM Vidyalaxmi Scheme in November 2024 to empower meritorious students by removing financial barriers to higher education. Offering collateral-free loans up to ₹7.5 lakhs and interest subvention benefits, the scheme targets students from low-income families. However, its rollout has faced notable technical and administrative challenges that demand urgent attention.
